Which statement correctly describes genetic diseases or disorders? If one inherits a gene for a specific disease, and the gene i

s recessive, the disease is not always present. A mutation always causes a genetic disease. Dominant genes do not carry the codes for genetic disease. If individuals inherit a gene that carries a genetic disease, it is not possible for them to pass it on to their offspring.

I would say A just because if your dad has a genetic disease and you mom does not have it you have about a 50 50 chance of having that disease in a perfect control that's assuming that its recessive and that your moms side does not present this disease
that's how its always been taught to me

Answer: Option  A

Explanation:

Genetic disease can be defined as the condition in which the disease is transferred from the parents to the offspring.

The disease can be expressed in both the cases whether it is present in the dominant condition or recessive condition.

If the diseased gene is found in the dominant condition then it will always be present but in case the gene is present in recessive condition then also it can be present.

Example: Hemophilia in case of males. Male is never a carrier of hemophilia he is always a affected male in both the cases( recessive or dominant).

hence, we conclude that genetic disease can be expressed even in case of recessive condition or in case of dominant condition.

1.Explain how the TATA box and transcription
jeka94

Answer:

The TATA box is an alternating sequence of Adenine and Guanine nucleotides that transcription factors bind to. The TATA box is found just before a gene. The transcription factors tell the RNA polymerase where to bind to begin transcription. This ensures the RNA polymerase will know where to start and which gene to transcribe.
