Katie approximated the volume and the surface area for a ball she was using for some exercises by assuming the ball is a sphere.

She was surprised when the numerical value of the volume in cubic inches was the same as the numerical value of the surface area in square inches. What is the radius of the ball?

Answer:

3

Step-by-step explanation:

Volume of sphere:

4/3 * pi * r^3

Surface Area of Sphere:

4 * pi * r^2

So if V = SA

4/3 * pi * r^3 = 4 * pi * r^2

4/3 * pi * r^3 = 4 * pi * r^2

1/3 * r^3 = r^2

1/3 * r = 1

r = 3

Two angles have the same measure. The angles are also supplementary. Are the angles acute, right, or obtuse? How do you know?
Semmy [17]

They are right angles, supplementary means that they add up to 180. You can remember this because S in supplementary stands for S in straight line (which is 180 degrees. They are both right angles because 90 + 90 will equal 180.

PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS QUESTION ASAP
lana [24]

Answer:

2x + 5y = -4

Step-by-step explanation:

The standard form for linear equations in two variables is Ax+By=C. For example, 2x+3y=5 is a linear equation in standard form. When an equation is given in this form, it's pretty easy to find both intercepts (x and y). This form is also very useful when solving systems of two linear equations.
