Arrange the circles (represented by their equations in general form) in ascending order of their radius lengths. X2 y2 − 2x 2y −
Colt1911 [192]

Circles (represented by their equations in general form) in ascending order of their radius lengths can be arranged as first-fifth-second-forth-third-seventh-sixth.

<h3>What is the equation of circle?</h3>

The equation of the circle is the equation which is used to represent the circle in the algebraic equation form with the value of center point in the coordinate plane and measure of radius.

The standard form of the equation of the circle can be given as,

(x-h)^2+(y-k)^2=r^2

Here (h,k) is the center of the circle and (r) is the radius of the circle.

Lets arrange the first equation, in standard form of equation of circle as,

x^2 +y^2 - 2x+ 2y -1 = 0 \\(x^2 - 2x) +(y^2+ 2y )= 1\\(x^2 - 2x+1) +(y^2+ 2y +1)= 1+1+1\\(x-1)^2+(y+1)^2=(\sqrt{3})^2

The radius of this circle is √(3).

Lets arrange the second equation, in standard form of equation of circle as,

x^2 +y^2 - 4x+ 4y - 10 = 0  \\(x^2 - 4x) +(y^2+ 4y )= 10\\(x^2 - 4x+4) +(y^2+ 4y +4)= 10+4+4\\(x-2)^2+(y+2)^2=(\sqrt{18})^2

The radius of this circle is √(18).

Lets arrange the third equation, in standard form of equation of circle as,

x^2 +y^2 - 8x - 6y - 20 = 0   \\(x^2 - 8x) +(y^2-6y )= 20\\(x^2 - 8x+16) +(y^2- 6y +9)= 10+16+9\\(x-4)^2+(y-3)^2=(\sqrt{45})^2

The radius of this circle is √(45).

Similarly, radius of the forth, fifth, sixth and seventh circle is √(23), √(5), √(117) and √(46) units.

Hence, the circles (represented by their equations in general form) in ascending order of their radius lengths can be arranged as first-fifth-second-forth-third-seventh-sixth.

Suppose we take the interval [−5,7] and divide it into 4 equal subintervals. Find the width Δn of each subinterval. Δn = If we n
lana66690 [7]

Answer:

x_0=-5\\x_1=-2\\x_2=1\\x_3=4\\x_4=7

Δn=3

Step-by-step explanation:

Remember, if we need to divide the interval (a,b) in n equal subinterval, then we need divide the distance (d) between the endpoints of the interval and divide it by n. Then the width Δn of each subinterval is d/n.

We have the interval [-5,7]. The distance between the endpoints of the interval is

d=7-(-5)=12.

Now, we divide d by 4 and obtain \frac{d}{4}=\frac{12}{4}=3

Then, Δn=3.

Now, to find the endpoints of each sub-interval, we add 3 from the left end of the interval.

-5=x_0\\x_0+3=-5+3=-2=x_1\\x_1+3=1=x_2\\x_2+3=4=x_3\\x_3+3=7=x_4

So,

x_0=-5\\x_1=-2\\x_2=1\\x_3=4\\x_4=7

Hello, I would really like some help on this!! Please leave an explanation of how you got your answer! Thank You!
ValentinkaMS [17]
1a) To find the total area, you must find the area of the triangular part that is missing, then subtract this from the area of the rectangle. For the triangle’s area, you need to know the width (2m) and length (2m). For the rectangle’s area you need to know the width (3m) and length (4m).
1b) the total area is 10m^2 (10 meters squared). This is found by subtracting the triangle (.5x2x2=2) from the rectangle (3x4=12).
