NPr  = n! / (n-r)!

nCr = n! / r! (n-r)!

nPr / nCr  = n! (n-r)!  * r!(n-r)! / n!  = r!

The answer is r factorial (r!)

Answer with explanation:

_{r}^{n}\textrm{P} = Permutation of n things taken r at a time

_{r}^{n}\textrm{C}=Combination of n things taken r at a time

_{r}^{n}\textrm{P}=\frac{n!}{(n-r)!)}\\\\_{r}^{n}\textrm{C}=\frac{n!}{r!\times(n-r)!)}

_{r}^{n}\textrm{C} contains one term r!, in the denominator which is not in _{r}^{n}\textrm{P}.

When we divide _{r}^{n}\textrm{P} by r! that is \frac{_{r}^{n}\textrm{P}}{r!}=_{r}^{n}\textrm{C}

In the given right triangle, find the missing length to the nearest tenth.
Jlenok [28]

Answer:

D. 25 ft.

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the missing length of any right triangle, you can use the Pythagorean Theorem (A^2+B^2=C^2) to solve. A and B represent the legs (which we do have) and C represents the hypotenuse (which we are trying to find). Insert our known values into the theorem, and we will get 24^2+7^2=C^2. Now we just do the basic math for the numbers that we have (24^2 is 576<em>;</em><em> </em>7^2 is 49), and that added up would equal to 625. Now, since C is being squared on the other side, we now have to root both sides. On the side where C is, the radical and the square will cancel out each other, leaving us with just C. But, on the side where 625 is, it should root to 25. Since C is by itself now, the number on the other side (25) will be our answer. Therefore, the missing side is 25 feet long.

How do you solve 5(3x+7) =3 (5x+7) ?
Naya [18.7K]
5(3x+7)=3(5x+7)

15x+35=15x+21

cancel out the 15x. If you bring over one of the 15x it's going to naturally cancel each other out.

35=21

35 does not equal 21

it would be the equal sign with the slash coming through it

Which table correctly shows all the sample spaces for tossing a coin and rolling an even number on a six-sided number cube?
kotykmax [81]
Tossing a coin would be 1/2 because a coin has two sides and it has 1 out of two sides to land on the side you want it to land on. So that answer is 1/2. The dice rolling on an even number on a six-sided number cube would be 3/6. Which if you simplify it, it would be 1/2. The answer to both of them is 1/2!
