Can someone summarize this for me
Airida [17]

Answer:

<u>Short paragraph:</u>

Homeostatis is the process by which the body maintains a stable internal environment. The hypothalamus is a part of the brain that regulates many key body processes. It works to restore the system to its normal state when an internal change in one of these systems occurs.

<u>Long paragraph:</u>

The hypothalamus is a part of the brain that regulates many key body processes including internal body temperature, hunger, thirst, blood pressure, and daily (circadian) rhythms. When the brain receives signals from the body about an internal change in one of its systems, it works to restore the system to its normal state. For example, the normal internal temperature for the human body is approximately 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit. If the body temperature rises because of exercise, the body will try and cool itself off. This happens through coordination between the hypothalamus and the various body systems that are affected.

Question in link below.
bezimeni [28]

The correct answer is - They supply the energy needed for living processes.

Both the carbon and the nitrogen, are gases that are crucial for the survival of the organisms on the planet. They are mostly used by the producers in the ecosystems, as they need them to manage to perform their cycles, get nutrition, and of course energy. The producers are the basis of the ecosystems, so if they do not have a healthy supply of carbon and nitrogen, the ecosystems on the whole planet will collapse. The carbon and the nitrogen later go from one organism to another as the energy is transferred, and usually end up back into the atmosphere again.

A sound wave with intensity 1.6×10−3 W/m2 is perceived to be modestly loud. Your eardrum is 6.0 mm in diameter. How much energy
ziro4ka [17]

Answer:

Energy  transferred to eardrum while listening to this sound for 1.0 min is 2.713 * 10^{-6}

Explanation:

Given

Sound waves of intensity 1.6 * 10^{-3} \frac{W}{m^2}

Size of the ear drum i.e diameter  6.0 millimeter

Radius of the ear drum

= \frac{D}{2} \\= \frac{6}{2} \\= 3

Time for which the eardrum will listen to this sound = 1.0 minutes.

As we know that the energy transferred to eardrum can be calculated by using below given relation

E = I * A* t\\

Where is the energy in Joules

I is the intensity in \frac{W}{m^2}

A is the area in m^2

and t is the time in seconds

Substituting the given values in above equation we get

E = 1.6 * 10^{-3} * (\pi r^2)* 60\\E = 1.6 * 10^{-3} * (3.14 * (3*10^{-3})^2)* 60\\E = 2.713 * 10^{-6}\\

Energy  transferred to eardrum while listening to this sound for 1.0 min is 2.713 * 10^{-6}

1. You are a doctor working at a hospital. You want to test a new drug for cancer patients who are being treated in your hospita
maxonik [38]

Answer:

An experimental group is a group that receives the variable being tested in an experiment. The control group is the group in an experiment that does not receive the variable you are testing.

Explanation:

Control group, the standard to which comparisons are made in an experiment. ... A typical use of a control group is in an experiment in which the effect of a treatment is unknown and comparisons between the control group and the experimental group are used to measure the effect of the treatment.

The control group would be the group you keep control as you would not change anything about it throughout the course of the experiment. The experimental group you would give the experimental drug to.
