Let's just ignore memorizing any formulas for perimeters of a rectangle and just remember this!!

The opposite sides are the same right? and there are 2 pairs? that's why we just need to find one side in each pair and multiply the sum of them by 2!

Here we already know what 2 of the sides are! Therefore we find the sum.

((5/4)x+3)+3x-2= (17/4)x+1

Then we need to multiply this sum by 2

((17/4)x+1)*2=(17/2)*x+2

*Note I left the result as a fraction not a mixed number because this is how you are suppose to write it in higher math but if your teacher wants you to convert it into a mixed number, then go ahead!

<u>Hope this helped!!</u>

Answer:

  • P = (8.5x + 2)

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Given</u>

  • l = (5/4x + 3) and
  • w = (3x - 2)

<u>Find the perimeter</u>

  • P = 2(l + w)
  • P = 2(5/4x + 3 + 3x - 2) =
  •       2(17/4x + 1) =
  •       17/2x + 2 =
  •        8.5x + 2

Answer:

\large\boxed{-\dfrac{8}{\sqrt{63}}}

Step-by-step explanation:

\csc\theta=\dfrac{1}{\sin\theta}\\\\\cos\theta=-\dfrac{1}{8}\qquad\text{use}\ \sin^2\theta+\cos^2\theta=1\\\\\sin^2\theta+\left(-\dfrac{1}{8}\right)^2=1\\\\\sin^2\theta+\dfrac{1}{64}=1\qquad\text{subtract}\ \dfrac{1}{64}\ \text{from both sides}\\\\\sin^2\theta=\dfrac{64}{64}-\dfrac{1}{64}\\\\\sin^2\theta=\dfrac{63}{64}\to\sin\theta=\pm\sqrt{\dfrac{63}{64}}\\\\180^o

\csc\theta=\dfrac{1}{-\frac{\sqrt{63}}{8}}=-\dfrac{8}{\sqrt{63}}

A region is bounded by semicircular arcs constructed on the side of a square whose sides measure 2/\pi, as shown. What is the pe
Paladinen [302]

Answer:

4

Step-by-step explanation:

The perimeter of the region is equal to the sum of the perimeter of the four semicircular arc. Since the semicircular arcs have the same measure, therefore:

Perimeter of region = 4 × Perimeter of semicircular arc.

The side of the square = diameter of the semicircle = 2/π.

The radius of semicircle = diameter/2 = \frac{2/\pi}{2} =\frac{1}{\pi}

The perimeter of a semicircle = perimeter of a circle ÷ 2

Perimeter\ of \ semicircle = \frac{perimeter\ of\ circle}{2}=\frac{2\pi r}{2}=\frac{2\pi (\frac{1}{\pi} )}{2} =1\\  Perimeter\ of\ region = 4*Perimeter\ of \ semicircle=4*1=4\
