Total number of seeds he has = 3x+2 Denver can plant 4 rows of the same length with 3 seedling spots left empty.
Total number of seeds he has = 4x-3 Using (i) and (ii), we get= 3x+2=4x-3

Isolate variable terms: 2+3=4x-3
Answer= 5=X
