First, both the extracellular fluid and the cytoplasm are hydrophilic. The phosphate head of the phospholipid is hydrophilic hence it either faces the extracellular fluid and the cytoplasm. The lipid tail of the phospholipid is hydrophobic hence it is confined in the middle of the plasma membrane. Both cytoplasmic and the extracellular fluid ends of the transmembrane protein are hydrophilic and the middle part of the transmembrane protein is hydrophobic.

You can see it in a light microscope, because it is visible. It serves as the protective cover that surrounds the plasma membrane in a plant cell. Cell membrane is composed of lipids. This is why blood type is important, and how people with a blood type of AB negative is so rare, this is because the AB negative blood cells doesn't have the shape to carry the oxygen needed for the body.
