Das is disguised pythagorean theorme

the height is one leg
the distance from house is other leg
length of ladder=hyptoonuse

so
remmeber
if legs of right triangle are a and b and hyptonuse is c then
a²+b²=c²

so
legs are 15 and 20
15²+20²=c²
225+400=c²
625=c²
sqrt both sides
25=c

25ft is length of laddder

Help!! whats the answer? and how do I solve!! :(
Sever21 [200]
I think the answer is 20.25 because when solving for the area of a triangle you do 1/2 base times height and so the equation would be
1/2(9)(4.5)
you would start by doing 9(4.5) which equals 40.5
then you would divide by 1/2 which equals 20.25
hope this helps:)

emmainna [20.7K]

Answer:

11- 64 degrees

12- 66 degrees

13- 89 degrees

14- 99 degrees

Step-by-step explanation:

11. 100 + 130 + 66 = 296

360 - 296 = <u>64</u>

12. 103 + 133 + 58 = 294

360 - 294 = <u>66</u>

13. 154 + 88 + 29 = 271

360 - 271 = <u>89</u>

14. 101 + 92 + 68 = 261

360 - 261 = <u>99</u>

hope this helps :)

Find x round to the nearest tenth! please help!!! more trigonometry!
hoa [83]

Answer:

<h2>x = 437.3 ft</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

Look at the picture.

Use cosine:

cosine=\dfrac{adjacent}{hypotenuse}

We have a measure of the angle and length of the hypotenuse:

\alpha=29^o,\ hypotenuse=500\ ft

\cos29^o\approx0.87461

Substitute:

\dfrac{y}{500}=0.87461                 <em>multiply both sides by 500</em>

y=437.305\to y\approx437.3
