In which of the following structural features is light harvesting during photosynthesis?
Ymorist [56]

In Photo-systems I and II structural features is light harvesting during photosynthesis.

Answer: Option C

Explanation:

The photosynthesis depends on light energy. Small pigmented molecules are present on the surface of the leaves which aids in the absorption of solar energy. Then the energy absorbed from light is converted to chemical energy which is utilized as the fuel.

This light dependent reaction is propagated by grouping of pigments and proteins called the photo-system. There are two photo-systems, Photo-system I and Photo-system II. Here the light is absorbed two times both in PS I &II. This process is called as photo-phosphorylation which uses light energy and converts ATP to ADP.
