Answer:

67.5

Step-by-step explanation:

I've learned this multiple ways but in my opinion this is the easiest. Just times everything together so, 40 x 2.5 x 1.2 which equals 135 and then divide 135 by 2 which equals your answer of 67.5 which is rounded to the nearestt tenth already.

Point Q is the midpoint of GH¯¯¯¯¯¯ . GQ=2x+3, and GH=5x−5 .

What is the length of GQ¯¯¯¯¯ ?
AveGali [126]

Point Q is the midpoint of GH

so GQ = QH

Given GQ=2x+3, and GH=5x−5 .

2x + 3 = 5x − 5

3x = 8

x = 8/3

GQ = 2(8/3) +3

GQ = 16/3 + 3

GQ = 16/3 + 9/3

GQ = 25/3

GQ = 8 1/3

3. Vocabulary Suppose △MNP ∼△RST. How can you identify corresponding parts?
MakcuM [25]

Similar triangles may or may not have congruent sides, but the ratio of the corresponding sides will always be congruent.

(3) Corresponding sides of △MNP and △RST

Given that △MNP ∼△RST.

This means that, the corresponding sides are:

 • MN and RS
 • MP and RT
 • NP and ST

(4) The equal measures

Given that △ABC ∼△TUV

This means that, the corresponding angles are equal, but corresponding sides are not.

So, the equal measures are:

 • (a). the measures of ∠A and ∠T
 • (c). the ratios of the sides BC/UV and AC/TV

The unequal measure is:

 • (b). the perimeters of the two triangles

(c) Scale mapping

The scale mapping is given as:

Ratio = 1\ in : 100\ mi

The above scale means that 1 inches on the scale represents 100 miles of the actual distance.

Take for instance, 5 inches would represent 500 miles.

500 is 5 times 100

Hence, the actual distance between two towns 100 times the map distance between the two towns

a mischievous dog can eat 27 treats and 3 minutes how many treats can a dog eat in 8 minutes assuming he eats at the same rate
sukhopar [10]
27 treats per 3 minutes = 9 : 1
if the ratio is 9:1, multiply by 8, and you get
72 treats per 8 minutes

you're welcome!

What is the sum of the n terms of the series 4 + 12 + 36 + 108 + . . . ?
arlik [135]
Sum of n terms of a geometric series is
Sn = a1 (r^n-1)/(r-1)
a1 = 1st term = 4
r = common ratio = 12/4 = 3
so, the sum is
Sn = 4 (3^n-1)/(3-1) = 2(3^n-1)
