DIFFERENCE between eating disorders and other behavioral addictions has to do with its? Group of answer choices compulsive natur
Mademuasel [1]

Answer:

Hi

Both addictions and eating disorders have some common characteristics: their prevalence has increased dramatically in recent years, symptoms usually appear for the first time during adolescence and early adulthood, the causes are mainly related to social, biological and psychological, and can cause physiological conditions with risk of death.

The adolescent transition is a complex process in which the person is forced to put aside the body of childhood and assume greater responsibilities. Teenagers face the challenge of creating their own identity that they have sexuality and prepare them for adulthood. A diversity and a fluctuation in emotional states (sadness, boredom, anxiety, anger), leads them to be part of the peer group. For this reason, they often adopt certain attitudes with the intention of feeling adults, important, concerns, such as smoking, drinking alcohol, dieting, etc.

Not only is the aforementioned, to which it is necessary to add the socio-cultural aspects that the person lives. Consumption is often favored, it is intended to eliminate all types of care, promoting immediate satisfaction or seeking to normalize the use of psychoactive substances.

In addictions or eating disorders, specific elements can be observed in common: a pressing need to abolish conflicts and the intention of replacing emotional dependence with euphoria, relief and the feeling of omnipotence, thus taking possession of own life and body.

Although there are some similarities between eating disorders and addictions, it is not simply two sides of the same coin, but rather conditions whose symptoms uniquely reveal a psychic configuration and cannot be generalized.

The answer is c. self-reference effect.

During the early Industrial Age, which group had the most economic power?
Sergeu [11.5K]
The Industrial Revolution substantially increased the material wealth of world. It ended the dominance of the agricultural industry. The factory owners, especially the textile mill owners had the most economic power during the early Industrial Age. The textile industry became the biggest industry and employed the most labourers during the early years of the Industrial Revolution. Prior to the Industrial Revolution, merchants held the economic power. They would supply the raw materials to manufacture cloth and pick up the finished products. Women would weave this cloth at home using hand-powered looms.
