When you eat your food and chew it into small parts enough for you to swallow, your body starts to absorb and move the nutrients to where they need to go. When you drink water to flush your food down, your large intestine starts absorbing the water, and the waste products from the food you ate becomes stool. Then those Nerves and hormones help digestive the food/waste.
