Mathematics

Step-by-step explanation:

Hi! I have learned some tips and tricks for finding the variables in y=mx+b

b is the y intercept, commonly found on the graph. If not you can substitute points in for the slope, the x, and the y value. This way B is the only variable left.

M is the slope. This can be calculated by looking at a graph and counting how many "up and over" it is. look up yt videos. theres tons.

You can also find the slope between two points by taking (y2-y1) DIVIDED BY (x2-x1)

Hope this helps!!

Solve for y , what is 9x+3y=4 ??
lora16 [44]
To solve for y, isolate the variable to one side.
9x+3y=4
-9x      -9x
~~~~~~~~
3y= -9x+4
3y= -9x+4 (Divide both sides by 3)
y=-3x+4
Please helppp!! Find the missing side . Round to the nearest tenth
olga nikolaevna [1]
Answer:
7.  7.8
Step-by-step explanation:
We can use Tan of this angle to find the missing side (in this case, the side adjacent to the angle measuring 57°)
Tan A = (opposite side)/(adjacent side)
    Tan 57° = 12/x
solve for x
           x(Tan 57°) = 12
               x = 12/(Tan 57°)
                 x = 7.8   (rounded to the nearest tenth)
There are 50 cupcakes and 160 cookies to be sold at the school bake sale. What is the greatest number of packages of baked items
Sav [38]
The greatest number of packages of baked items that can be sold is 10
Solution:
Given that there are 50 cupcakes and 160 cookies to be sold at the school bake sale
To find: greatest number of packages of baked items that can be sold
Each package has the same number of cupcakes and same number of cookies with none left over
So, we have to find the greatest common factor of 50 and 160
The greatest number that is a factor of two (or more) other numbers.
When we find all the factors of two or more numbers, and some factors are the same ("common"), then the largest of those common factors is the Greatest Common Factor.
Greatest common factor of 50 and 160:
The factors of 50 are: 1, 2, 5, 10, 25, 50
The factors of 160 are: 1, 2, 4, 5, 8, 10, 16, 20, 32, 40, 80, 160
Then the greatest common factor is 10
So the greatest number of packages sold is 10
Each package will contain:
Given that there 50 cupcakes and 160 cookies
Number of cupcakes in 1 package:
\rightarrow \frac{50}{10} = 5
Number of cookies in 1 package:
\rightarrow \frac{160}{10} = 16
So each package has the same number of cupcakes and same number of cookies with none left over
