American imperialism resulted in the US gaining territories like Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Cuba, and the Philippines. Since the US took over these territories, they started to implement their political and economic beliefs in these places.

For example, the US would set up government structures that were similar to the US. In terms of laws, these individuals were expected to follow the laws established by the US. This changed their society tremendously.

Along with this, the US implemented their economic policies that were based around favorable trade deals. This would lead to the US to gain new natural resources from these territories.
