This is only done when the person has<em> "no pulse."</em> A CPR allows the oxygenated blood to be delivered to the body's vital organs, including the brain, which then prevents the person from dying.

In order to<em> "restore the blood circulation</em>," you have to use your upper body weight in compressing the person's chest. <u>It should be at least 5 cm or 2 inches</u>, but <em>not greater than 6 cm</em>. This assures quality chest compressions. The rate should be at <em>100 to 200 compressions.</em> It should be done in an uninterrupted fashion.
