jekas [21]

Answer:

The system which rewarded political supporters with government positions and which was blamed for much of the corruption that existed in government during the late TOUS was known as the Spoils System.

Explanation:

 • This system allowed non-meritorious people to hold positions of great responsibility and authority merely for being in acquaintance with the leaders of the government.
 • This system culminated in giving rise to corruption in almost all the activities that were carried out by the administration. Most departments that came under the government were observed to be engaged in corruption during the late TOUS.
