First distribute 8 and 3 through parenthesis. this makes the equation
2x+8x+24=3x-39

collect like terms, such as “2x+8x” this becomes 10x. plug in 10x.

10x+24=3x-39. now move variable and constant. 10x-3x=-39-24
collect like terms again. 10x-3x becomes 7x.

7x=-39-24.
-39-24=-63

7x=-63 divide both sides by 7.

x=-9

Answer:

x = -9

Step-by-step explanation:

2x + 8( x + 3 ) = 3( x - 13 )

Dstribute;

2x + 8 ( x + 3 ) = 3 ( x - 13 )

2x + ((8)(x)) + ((8)(3)) = ((3)(x)) - ((13)(3))

2x + 8x + 24 = 3x - 39

Combine like terms;

2x + 8x + 24 = 3x - 39

10x + 24 = 3x - 39

Inverse operations;

10x + 24 = 3x - 39

-3x            -3x

7x + 24 = -39

     -24     -24

7x = - 63

/7       /7

x = -9

Answer:

price of a computer that she could afford R 9230.769

Step-by-step explanation:

Given data

amount pay = R500 per month = 500 × 24 = R 12000 total pay

time period =24 months = 24 /12 = 2 years

rate = 15 % per annum

to find out

price of a computer that she could afford

Solution

we know formula

Amount Paid = Principal × (1+(RT/100))

put value principal pay and R and T and we get

principal = Amount / (1+(RT/100))

principal = 1200 / (1+(15 ×2 )/100))

principal  = 9230.769

price of a computer that she could afford R 9230.769

I need to know how to solve this
ahrayia [7]
Answer:

To find angle y you subtract the two angles form 180 degrees because it is a straight line. Then you subtract angle y and 72 from 180 because a triangle adds up to 180 degrees and you get angle x.

Hope this helps, ask if you have any more questions!

Scilla [17]

Answer:

0.222

Step-by-step explanation:

Batting average can be defined as a measure or technique used to determine the success of a player or pitcher

Batting average is determined by dividing a player's hits by his total at-bats for a number

We are told : Abraham hit 2 out of the 9 balls he was pitched.

Abraham's batting average = Number of hits/ Number of pitches

= 2/9

= 0.2222222222

Approximately ≈ 0.222
