How to find equation for the line that passes through point (4,0) and is parallel to line x +2y =3?

Plug (4,0) in : x+2y=3
 so it'd look like  4+2(0)=3
then you would work it out.. 
so y=mx+b 
put it in tht equation
but first distribute.......

4+2(0)=3
4+0=3
0=3-4
0
