the difference of two numbers is negative ten. seven times the first plus seven times the second is negative fourteen.

x=-10-y

7x+7y=-14
7(-10-y)+7y=-14
-70-7y+7y=-14
0y=56
y=0

x=-10-y
x=-10-0
x=-10
