5. What is environmental racism? What is one example of environmental racism? Critical Thinking Questions 1. Do you think that N
Morgarella [4.7K]

Answer:

Answered below

Explanation:

Environmental racism has to do with environmental population of neighborhoods populated by ethnic minority groups and races. Such population include; air pollution, garbage dumps, toxic waste facilities and hazards. An example of environmental racism is the asbestos in used housing and schools located in African American communities.

1) The American culture contributes to environmental racism because of their history with racism and slavery. The environmental policies were made to the disadvantage of minority groups.

2) Food scarcity is still very much a problem and a huge concern especially in poorer countries in Asia, South America and Africa. Increased population in these areas is a concern.

3) A higher population is a burden to resources available to us and therefore people should be concerned. The environment suffers as a result. The rate of pollution increases as human activities cause the destruction of natural protective mechanisms. Such activities include; industrial pollution, deforestation etc

4) Overpopulated countries should control their population growth. Methods such as birth control mechanisms and education would go a long way in helping this. Limiting the growth of an already overpopulated country is beneficial to humans and the environment.

Two claims are made and there are significant differences or conflicts between the claims. according to dr. foreman, this is ref
Ad libitum [116K]

There are substantial discrepancies or inconsistencies between the two claims that are stated. This is referred to as a discrepancy. by Dr. Foreman.

What do you understand by the conflicts?

Conflicts result from conflicts of interest, viewpoints, or even philosophical principles. The basis of conflict can be personal, racial, class, caste, political, or even international, thus it will always exist in society. In disagreements that are emotional, intellectual, or theoretical, academic recognition may or may not be a key motivator. Cultural conflict is a subclass of intellectual conflict, which tends to intensify over time as a result of various cultural norms and ideas.

Conflict in a group frequently takes a predetermined path. Regular group interactions are first disrupted by an internal conflict, which is frequently brought on by conflicts among the group's members, internal disagreements, or a lack of resources. The group is no longer cohesive at this phase and may divide into coalitions. In some instances, this stage of conflict escalation is followed by a stage of conflict resolution, following which the group can either revert to regular group engagement or break apart.
