Answer:

v = 1.67 m/s

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that, Noreen can walk 1/3 mile in 12 minutes. We need to find her average speed. We now that the total distance covered divided by total time taken is called the average speed of the Noreen. Mathematically, it is given by :

v=\dfrac{d}{t}

t = 12 minutes = 0.2 hours

v=\dfrac{1/3\ mile}{0.2\ h}

v = 1.67 m/s

So, the average speed of the Noreen is 1.67 m/s. Hence, this is the required solution.

when coloring in a grid to show a fraction, what does 3/10 look like when the grid represents a whole
Katarina [22]

Answer:

3 of 10 grid squares making up the whole will be colored.

Step-by-step explanation:

1/10 is one of ten equal parts. 3/10 is three of those ten equal parts. Essentially, the fraction 3/10 means "three out of ten".

_____

If the whole is divided into more than 10 parts, 3/10 will be 3 out of every 10. So if there are 20 parts, for example (2 tens), the 3/10 will be 6 of those parts (3 of each of the two tens).

I don't know how to solve this
sergiy2304 [10]
The answer that I got was side  WX = 12 inches

It says that WY is congruent to XY which means that they are the same. That means that XY is also 3m-4. It also says that the perimeter of the triangle is 76 inches.

With this information I set up an equation:

3m-4 + 3m-4 +m = 76

(The number on the right side is the perimeter given to us in the problem and the numbers on the left side are the 3 side lengths).

I combined like terms on the left side and ended up with:

7m-8=76

I added 8 to both sides of the equation and got 7m=84.

Finally I divided both sides by 7 and got m=12

m is equivalent to side WX..

Hope this helps!
