Japanese arrowhead is the other name given for Kudzu. These plants belongs to Pueraria. These are coiling,climbing in nature. These were introduced in US in 1876,for the purpose of preventing the erosion of soil. But, because of the growth rate of these plants at higher rates and the consequences to the ecology, it was removed.

The index of the leaves of these plants and the rate of photosynthesis process was too high for these plants. Because of the rooting of these plants affected native plants,shrubs and trees. It caused sever damage to the native plants and native animals in the ecosystem of forest areas.
