Drag the tiles to the correct boxes to complete the pairs.
navik [9.2K]

A. 9

B. 24

C. 6

D. 16

Step-by-step explanation:

Given ratios are;

A. 2 : 3 = 6 : x

Product of mean = Product of extreme

6*3=2*x\\18=2x\\2x=18

Dividing both sides by 2

\frac{2x}{2}=\frac{18}{2}\\x=9

B. 4 : 7 = x : 42

Product of mean = Product of extreme

7x=168

Dividing both sides by 7

\frac{7x}{7}=\frac{168}{7}\\x=24

C. 2x : 48 = 3 : 12

Product of extreme = Product of mean

2x*12=48*3\\24x=144

Dividing both sides by 24

\frac{24x}{24}=\frac{144}{24}\\x=6

D. 12 : 15 = x : 20

Product of mean = Product of extreme

15*x=12*20\\15x=240

Dividing both sides by 15

\frac{15x}{15}=\frac{240}{15}\\x=16

In ΔABC, AC = BC, CD ⊥ AB with D ∈ AB , AB = 4 in, and CD = sqrt3 in. Find AC.
amid [387]
Check the picture below.

segments AC and BC are equal, that means that ABC is an isosceles triangle, with twin sides.  Now the twin sides make twin angles on the opposite side, namely the angles at A and B are twins.

if the angles at A and B are twins, and CD is ⟂ to AB, there's only one possibility that can happen, and is if CD is an angle bisector at C.

an angle bisector like CD with twin angles on each side, will cut AB in two equal halves, therefore, if AB = 4, then AD = 2 and DB = 2.

Anyone know this geometry question? Will give brainiest
12345 [234]
If AC must be parallel with BD and m∠6 is doubled, m∠3 must be doubled too.

This is because of the following rule:
When two lines are parallel, which is the occasion with AB and CD, then the corners in which the intecepting parallel lines (AC and BD) stand must be the same. So corner 6 is equivalent to corner 3, corner 1 and corner 5. Corner 2 and corner 4 are equivalent too.
