<h3><u>Let's</u><u> </u><u>understand</u><u> </u><u>the concept</u><u>:</u><u>-</u></h3>
  • Here angle B is 90°
  • So \triangle ABC and \triangle ABD Are right angled triangle
  • So we use Pythagoras thereon for solution

<h3><u>Required Answer</u><u>:</u><u>-</u></h3>
  • First in triangle ABC

perpendicular=p=8cm

Hypontenuse =h =10cm

  • We need to find base=b

According to Pythagoras thereon

{\boxed{\sf b^2=h^2-p^2}}

  • Substitutethe values

\longrightarrow\sf b^2=10^2-p^2

\longrightarrow\sf b={\sqrt {10^2-8^2}}

\longrightarrow\sf b={\sqrt{100-64}}

\longrightarrow\bf b={\sqrt {36}}

\longrightarrow\sf b=6

\therefore\overline{BC}=6cm

BD=BC+CD

\longrightarrowBD=9+6

\longrightarrowBD=15cm

  • Now in \triangle ABD

Perpendicular=p=8cm

Base =b=15cm

  • We need to find Hypontenuse =AD(x)

According to Pythagoras thereon

{\boxed {\sf h^2=p^2+b^2}}

  • Substitute the values

\longrightarrow\sf h^2=8^2+15^2

\longrightarrow\sf h={\sqrt {8^2+15^2}}

\longrightarrow\sf h={\sqrt {64+225}}

\longrightarrow\sf h={\sqrt {289}}

\longrightarrow\sf h=17cm

\therefore{\underline{\boxed{\bf x=17cm}}}

Ball B, with a mass of 30kg, is moving to the left at -10 m/s. With what velocity should Ball A, with a mass of 10 kg, move to t
tangare [24]
Initially, Ball A of 10 kg will have velocity x, while Ball B of 30 kg has velocity -10 m/s.
After collision, Ball A will have a velocity of -30 m/s, while Ball B will have velocity 10 m/s. We assume their masses do not change.
(10 kg)(x m/s) + (30 kg)(-10 m/s) = (10 kg)(-30 m/s) + (30 kg)(10 m/s)
10x - 300 = -300 + 300
x = 30 m/s (to the right)

Answer:

hope this helps

Step-by-step explanation:

If all angles are measured by 60 degrees, this triangle is not scalene because its angles are not different. The one that has angles of 20, 50, and 110 degrees is scalene because all of its angle measures are different

one bag of pretzels cost three dollars. five bags of pretzels cost $10.which has the lower unit price
Karo-lina-s [1.5K]
5 bags is cheaper because one bag is $3 and 5 bags for ten so to find the unit price the amount (10/ ) the amount of bags (5) so therefore 10/5= $2 which is smaller than the price of an individual bag
