In November of 1832, the South Carolina government called for a convention, or meeting, to
UNO [17]

Answer:

1. The South Carolina representatives vote to...

 • Why: The SC representatives were protesting the "Tariff of Abominations," which was a high tax on goods. They were not a fan of strong federal power, so they voted to ignore his law.

2. President Jackson is furious about...

 • Why: Jackson, oh Jackson. What an unconventional guy. He was an advocate of states' rights at times, but he also had no problems with grabbing the reins and controlling unruly states. He threatened to use federal power, and they eventually succumbed, but this was very controversial.

3. As Jackson raises an army to back up...

 • Why: SC realizes that it can't hold up against a federal army, so it backs down.

4. The South Carolina convention decides to accept...

 • Why: Congress makes a compromise with SC by allowing it a lower tariff. Obviously this would annoy Jackson, because he didn't want to be undermined, but eventually this led to peace, for now.

How was article 231 of the treaty of versailles partly responsible for the second world war?
PolarNik [594]
The article introduced the reparation clause
The clause impoverished Germany and caused a lot of economic suffering. Hitler rides on this wave of economic misery and preached the politics of hope, restoration and supremacy which was received well by millions of German. This absolute support that Hitler received gave him time to pursue his war objectives fueled by his supremacy claims.

What arguments could be made for using atomic bombs to end the war
Genrish500 [490]

Saving American Lives and reducing cost of rebuilding Japan.

Explanation:

Truly the US wanted an excuse to use a new weapon. many were against the use of the atomic bomb in the wat, but the argument that decided the fate was one of calculation in time, money, and lives.

With the Atomic weapons used, the war would be ended several years earlier rather than completely invading Japan where the most hostile front in the pacific would have been (the "hornets' nest" so to speak). This would have also accomplished saving potentially hundreds of thousands or even millions of US service members lives.

Lastly the cost, the US held no intention of defeating Japan and then leaving the nation to do what it pleased. So if they were to occupy and begin a war of "winning hearts" it made it much easier to do when the US only had to rebuild two cities as opposed to the billions of dollars it would take perhaps trillions; to rebuild the nation entirely.

This brought a common language to be spoken in the churches. their language was influential and distinctive. It distinguished them from other races. Aryan is a term that can define a linguistic group, which is a group of people classified as speaking the same language, or can be defined as a race, which is a group of people who comprise of specific and distinct characteristic.

c) The Aryans were the warrior nomadic people that migrated to the Indian subcontinent with their influential culture, religion and language. Aryan culture played a vital role in sculpting Hinduism by influencing the religion with their epics, texts and religious ideologies. The Aryans mixed with the Dravidians to create the complex religion of Hinduism.

d) Prior to the Mauryan Empire (321 to 185 B.C.) there was no organized Aryan government with a class of bureaucrats that acted as administrators. Instead there were numerous ruling chieftains ( rajan ), who were like warlords. They ruled with the support of armies and militias. They were counseled by purohitas , shaman-like figures believed to possess magical powers. When large kingdoms emerged the purohitas served as the equivalent of archbishops and prime ministers for the rulers, performing ritual sacrifices and giving political counsel. Commoners showed respect by kissing the feet of their sovereigns.

Hope that helps!
