Which current is produced inresponse to a hyperpolarizing stimulus in a giant axon of a squid?
bekas [8.4K]

The giant axon of a squid, shows that hyperpolarizing stimulus is followed by transient inward capacitive current and lasting outward capacitive current.

Hyperpolarization is a change in a cell's membrane potential that makes it more negative. It is the opposite of a depolarization. It inhibits action potentials by increasing the stimulus required to move the membrane potential to the action potential threshold.

Hyperpolarization can be caused, for instance, by opening channels that allow positive ions to move out of the cell (or negative ions to move in).

The hyperpolarization-activated current is an inward current activated by hyperpolarization from the resting potential and is an important modulator of action potential firing frequency in many excitable cells.

How is nitrogen from the atmosphere, the abiotic part of the ecosystem, converted in to the biotic part of the ecosystem of the
algol [13]
Nitrogen takes steps through the Nitrogen Cycle, taking an active role in the lives of organisms and changing forms to meet their needs. In fact, nitrogen is a critical part of the development of plants, many farmers even add nitrogen to plants to make the grow bigger and more fruitful. Even the human body needs nitrogen to, which is good because most of the air we breath is nitrogen.

Summarize how energy derived from the Sun is used by plants to produce sugars and is transferred within a food chain or food web
ohaa [14]
Plants use a process called photosynthesis to make food. During photosynthesis, plants trap light energy with their leaves. Plants use the energy of the sun to change water and carbon dioxide into a sugar called glucose.
Starch is stored in the seeds and other plant parts as a food source.
