Answer:

<u>INFORMATION :- </u>

\implies the zeroes of a polynomial also called its roots are the values of x for which the corresponding value of y {f(x)} is zero.

\implieswhile seeing zeroes in a graph they are the points where the graph intersects the x- axis.

<u>SOLUTION :- </u>

Now, we're given a function such that

f(x) = 3x²- 1

put f(x) = 0 and solve for x to get the zeroes of this function.

f(x) = 3x² - 1 = 0

3x² - 1 = 0

3x² = 1

x² = \frac{1}{3 }

x = ± \frac{1}{ \sqrt{3} }

so the roots of f(x) = 3x²- 1 are :-

  • + \frac{1}{ \sqrt{3} }
  • - \frac{1}{ \sqrt{3} }

Comparing the values given to us and the values we found out.

  • <u>1st value is a zero of the function</u>

while the

  • <u>2nd value isn't</u>.

Jacob rode his bike 5 3/4 miles last week. This week,he rode 4 times as far as he rode last week. How many miles did Jacob ride
Bess [88]

Answer:

Hope this helps

Step-by-step explanation:

1. Make 5 3/4 into an improper fraction. That would be 23/4. 2. Write 4 in a fraction way. That would be 4/1. 3. Now do 23/4 X 4/1. That would be 92/4. 4. Turn it into a mixed number by doing 92 divided by 4. That would be 23. No fraction after 23. Jacob rode his bike 23 miles this week. :)

HELP ME PLEASEEEE! Thank you
Sergio039 [100]

Answer:

A. Yes

B. Yes

C. No

Step-by-step explanation:

We can substitute each value in to the equation and see if the sides match up. Let's start with a.

4\cdot(2)-3 = -2\cdot(2)+9\\8-3 = -4+9\\5 = 5

So, n = 2 works for equation a. Let's try B.

9\cdot(\frac{10}{3}) - 19 = 3\cdot(\frac{10}{3}) + 1\\\\\\\frac{90}{3} -19 = \frac{30}{3} + 1 \\  30 - 19 = 10 + 1\\11 = 11

So, m = \frac{10}{3} works for B. Now let's try C.

3(30+8) = 2\cdot(30)-6\\3(38) = 60-6\\114 \neq 54

So y = 30 doesn't work for C.

Hope this helped!

The fact that sin(150°) = .5 and sin(-150°) = -.5 implies that the sine function is which type of function?
Naddika [18.5K]
Answer: A) Odd

In general, sin(-x) = -sin(x) for all values of x, so it's an odd function. I don't mean it's a strange function. I mean "odd" in the sense that it's not even (eg: the number 7 is an odd number).
