Answer :

no. of days used to repair 1250m of road = 5

no. of days used to repair 1m of road = 5/1250

no. of days used to repair 8000m of road (8*1000m ) = 5/1250*8000= 32 days

Which values of m and b will create a system of equations with no solution? Check all that apply. y = mx + b y = –2x + 3/2
Leni [432]
Lines with no solution are parallel lines....parallel lines will contain the same slope, but different y intercepts.

y = -2x + 3/2....slope (m) = -2 and y int (b) = 3/2
so the line we need will have a slope of -2, but can have any y int EXCEPT 3/2.

m = -2, and b = -1/3 is parallel, no solution
m = -2 and b = -2/3...parallel, no solution

X to the 3rd power= 64/343
leva [86]

Answer:

x = 4/7

Step-by-step explanation:

x^3 = 64/ 343 // - 64/ 343

x^3 - ( 64/ 343 ) = 0

x^3 - 64 / 343 = 0

1*x^3 = 64/ 343 // : 1

x^3 = 64/ 343

x^3 = 64/ 343 // ^ 1/3

x = 4/ 7

Two of the exterior angles of a triangle are $158^\circ$ and $99^\circ.$ Find the third exterior angle, in degrees.
Lisa [10]

Answer:

The third exterior angle is 103^o

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

\theta = 158^o

\alpha = 99^o

Required

The third exterior angle (\beta)

The exterior angles of a triangle add up to 360 degrees.

So:

\theta + \alpha + \beta = 360^o

Make \beta the subject

\beta = 360^o - (\theta + \alpha)

Substitute known values

\beta = 360^o - (158^o + 99^o)

\beta = 103^o
