Answer:

Ok so there's only one figure but Nvm

The lateral surface area of a Cone

=> πrl

Where,

l =  \sqrt{h {}^{2} + r {}^{2}  }

Here,

r= 3 inches

l= 8.5 inches

.°.

The required answer

=>

3.14 \times 3 \times 8.5 \\  = 80.07 \: inches \:  {}^{2}

Answer:

lateral surface area of cone =πrl=3×8.5π=80.11in²

total surface area of cone =πr(r+l)=π×3(3+8.5)=108.38in²

Beth walked around her neighborhood. In 1/2 hour, she walked 1 1/4 miles. What was Beth’s rate in miles per hour
Vadim26 [7]

Answer:

2.5 miles per hour

Step-by-step explanation:

ok, so we already know how long she walked in 1/2 hour and we need to find out how many miles in one full hour. So, i multiplied 1 1/4 times two to make up the one full hour and I got 2.5 miles. So the rate is 2.5 mph.

Sam is an apprentice carpenter whose boss asked him to construct a perfectly rectangular frame with a diagonal brace. When Sam h
zalisa [80]
If it's a perfectly rectangle frame with W = 50 cm & L= 90 cm

So the right diagonal should be √(50² +90²) = √10600 =102.96 cm

as per the calculation the diagonal should have a length of 102.96 cm, but the boss found 100 cm, that means their should be a frame which diagonal equal to 100 cm, short by 2.96 cm, that means short by 2.96/2 = 1.48 cm from the bottom & 1.48 cm from the top (same as well as for the 2nd diagonal)
In this case the boss should be happy

What is the approximate distance between the points (-2, 3, -5) and (2, -7, 4)?
tatiyna
To approximate the distance of points with three dimension, make use of the equation,

                           d = sqrt ((x2 - x1)^2 + (y2 - y1)^2 +(z2 - z1)^2)

Substituting all the data from the points given,

                    <span>d = sqrt ((2 - -2)^2 + (-7 - 3)^2 +(4 - -5)^2) = sqrt 197
</span>
Thus, the distance from the points is approximately 14.04 and that is letter D.
