Ectomorphs are those people whose bodies tend to be genetically thin, that is, whose accelerated metabolism contributes to their thinness, which means they do not accumulate fat or muscle in quantity around their bone structures. These people, precisely due to their inability to develop muscles with ease, have a greater probability of developing lung disorders, given the generally lower development of their thoracic muscles with respect to the other body somatotypes.

In turn, endomorphs are those people with a greater tendency to store fat, with which they tend to have weight problems, a slower metabolism and problems with cholesterol and blood glucose levels, variables that directly affect on the circulatory system and, ultimately, on the normal functioning of the heart as the main engine of the human body.
