The pattern goes +1; +2; +3; +4; +5; +6... Since it ends at +6, the next you need to do is +7.  24 + 7 is 31 and that will come next.

A plant is already 10 centimeters tall, and it will grow one centimeter every month. Let H be the plant's height (in centimeters
torisob [31]

Answer:

H(M) = (1)M + 10

Step-by-step explanation:

If the plant will grow 1 centimeter every month, we can write an equation that relates the height of the plant with the number of months elapsed:

Let

H = height of the plant

M = number of months elapsed

H0 = initial height = 10cm

H (M) = (1)M + H0

H (M) = (1)M + 10

Where (1) is the constant rate of growth of 1 centimeter per month.

This is the equation of a line that intersects the H axis at H = 10.

In the attached figure the graph is shown.

Trevor paints 1/6 of the fence surrounding his farm each day. How many days will it take him to paint 3/4 of the fence?
VARVARA [1.3K]
To do this you have to divide 3/4 by 1/6.  To do this multiply 3/4 by the reciprocal of 1/6.  The reciprocal of 1/6 is 6/1.  So you have to multiply 3/4 and 6/1.  This will give you 18/4.  You now simplify it to 4 2/4, which can be simplified even more to 4 1/2.  It will take Trevor 4 1/2 days to paint 3/4 of the fence.
BTW- In case you are wondering how long it'll would take him to paint the entire fence, it would be 6 days.
