Answer:

Alternate Interior ∠s: 3 & 5, 4 & 6.

Corresponding ∠s: 1 & 5, 2 & 6, 3 & 8, 4 & 7.

Alternate Exterior ∠s: 1 & 8, 2 & 7.

Consecutive ∠s: 3 & 6, 4 & 5.

Step-by-step explanation:

Alternate interior angles must both be in between the parallel lines, it is almost like you are flipping the angle over the line, then moving it down, if that makes any sense.

Corresponding angles correspond, which means that they are the same (of course), but it is like you go directly down to the similar angle. You can visually see that angles are the same, an example is 1 & 5.

Alternate exterior angles are similar to alternate exterior angles, but they must be on the exterior of the parallel lines. Once again, it is like you are flipping the angle of the line, then turning it downwards, if it makes any sense that way to you.

Consecutive angles are always in between the two parallel lines on the same side. They add up to 180. So 4 & 5 is a good example.

Good luck.

Solve |2x - 1| + 3 = 6.
umka21 [38]

Answer:

x =2                         x = -1

Step-by-step explanation:

|2x - 1| + 3 = 6.

Subtract 3 from each side

|2x - 1| + 3-3 = 6-3

|2x - 1|= 3

An absolute value has two solutions, one positive and one negative

2x-1 =3                   2x -1 = -3

Add 1 to all sides

2x-1+1 =3+1             2x-1+1 = -3+1

2x = 4                      2x =-2

Divide by 2

2x/2 = 4/2                 2x/2 = -2/2

x =2                         x = -1
