If there are 18 students every one of the will pair up with 17 other students throughout the year so the total amount of pairs that can be made is 18x17=306 but since it’s not important if student A is paired with student B or student B with student A we should divide the total amount of pairs by two- 306:2=153 so in total there will be 153 projects finished

A geometric sequence has an initial value of 2 and a common ratio of 3. Which formula would be more practical to use if you were
Makovka662 [10]

Answer:

19th term = ar^18

19th term = 774,840,978

Step-by-step explanation:

First term, a = 2

Common ratio, r = 3

nth term of a geometric sequence = ar^(n-1)

19th term = ar^(19-1)

19th term = ar^18

= 2 × 3^18

= 2 × 387,420,489

= 774,840,978

19th term = 774,840,978

The shadow of a 60 foot pole is a 100 feet long. What is the angle of evaluation from the end of the shadow to the top of the po
Lilit [14]

Answer:

θ = 36.86°

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that,

The shadow of a 60 foot pole is a 100 feet long.

We need to find the angle of elevation from the end of the shadow to the top of the pole.

Height, h = 60 foot

Hypotenuse, H = 100 feet

Using trigonometry to find it.

\sin\theta=\dfrac{\text{Height}}{\text{Hypotenuse}}\\\\\sin\theta=\dfrac{60}{100}\\\\\theta=\sin^{-1}(\dfrac{60}{100})\\\\\theta=36.86^{\circ}

So, the angle of elevation is 36.86 degrees.

(\sqrt{3x}+\sqrt5)\cdot(\sqrt{15x}+2\sqrt{30})\\\\=(\sqrt{3x})(\sqrt{15x})+(\sqrt{3x})(2\sqrt{30})+(\sqrt5)(\sqrt{15x})+(\sqrt5)(2\sqrt{30})\\\\=\sqrt{(3x)(15x)}+2\sqrt{(3x)(30)}+\sqrt{(5)(15x)}+2\sqrt{(5)(30)}\\\\=\sqrt{45x^2}+2\sqrt{90x}+\sqrt{75x}+2\sqrt{150}\\\\=\sqrt{9x^2\cdot5}+2\sqrt{9\cdot10x}+\sqrt{25\cdot3x}+2\sqrt{25\cdot6}\\\\=\sqrt{9x^2}\cdot\sqrt5+2\sqrt9\cdot\sqrt{10x}+\sqrt{25}\cdot\sqrt{3x}+2\sqrt{25}\cdot\sqrt6
=3x\sqrt5+2\cdot3\sqrt{10x}+5\sqrt{3x}+2\cdot5\sqrt6\\\\=3x\sqrt5+6\sqrt{10}+5\sqrt{3x}+10\sqrt6
