Answer:

Dark peppered moths’ increases from 2% to 95% because black moths were able to evade predators than white moths.

Further information:

Why growth of dark peppered moth increases?

During the peak of industrial development, there was an extreme variation in the environment in Europe. Due to augmented use of fossil fuels to run machines, the environment in urban centers was black due to soot produced by industries and settled on constructions and the environment. Therefore black moths were able to camouflage in this environment hence avoid predators. White moths were, on the other hand, more noticeable in this environment hence predated on more. The black moths were, so, more likely to pass their genes to the next generation compared to white moths.

Natural selection:

Natural selection, process that results in the adaptation of an organism to its environment by means of selectively reproducing changes in its genotype, or genetic constitution. It is a key mechanism of evolution, the change in the heritable traits of a population over generation.

Why natural selection is important?

The reason that natural selection is significant is that it's the focal thought, coming from Charles Darwin and Alfred Russel Wallace, that clarifies structure in nature. It is the one procedure that is in charge of the advancement of adjustments of life forms to their condition.

What biomes receive less then 100 Cm of rain each year? Check all that apply
jeyben [28]

Answer:- Option 3 (desert), Option 4 (tundra) and Option 5 (grassland).

Explanation:-

The amount of rainfall varies in different biomes:-

1. Tropical rain forests - The annual rainfall in these forests falls in the range of 125 to 660 cm which varies according to the seasons.

2. Temperate rain forest - The annual rainfall in these forests can range from 200 cm to 350 cm depending on the region where they are found. The annual rainfall is higher in warmer regions .

3. Desert - As the name suggests, the desert areas do not get enough rainfall. The annual rainfall in a desert is less than 25 cm.

4. Tundra - It is a biome which is found in relatively cooler climates and the amount of rainfall is very less these regions. The annual rainfall in tundra biomes is less than 20 cm.

5. Grassland - in these biomes, the rainfall is higher than the tundra and desert but is not as high as the rain forests and thus, grass is the dominant vegetation. The annual rainfall ranges from 60-90 cm.

After the completion of meiosis II, how many copies of gene A does each of the daughter cells contain?
balu736 [363]

Answer:

1

Explanation:

During meiosis, a diploid cell ultimately forms four haploid gametes that go on to take part in fertilization. Because they are haploid. that means they have one copy of all of the chromosomes and the genes contained within them.

First, the DNA is replicated, and then two cell divisions take place form the haploid gametes. So at first, there are two copies of each gene, creating four after the DNA is replicated.

After the first cell division (meiosis I) there are two cells with 2 copies of every gene. Then to form the haploid gamete, there is another cell division (meiosis II) creating 4 cells each containing one copy of every gene
