Answer and Explanation:

The computation of the depreciation expense using straight line method is shown below:

Formula to be used:

= (Purchase cost - salvage value) ÷ (estimated service life)

For 2021

= ($35,000 - $5,000) ÷ (10 years)

= $3,000

For 4 months, it would be

= $3,000 × 4 months ÷ 12 months

= $1,000

And, for the year 2021, it would be the same i.e. $3,000

This chart shows the link between
mash [69]

Answer:

This chart shows the link between the price of the graphic T-shirts against the quantity demanded.

Explanation:

The chart can be represented as follows;

Price of the graphic T-shirts Quantity demanded

                 $5 50

                 $7.50 40

                 $10.00 30

                 $12.50 20

                 $15.00 10

From the chart above we can see that there is a relationship between the price of the graphic T-shirts and the quantity of the shirts demanded. From the chart it can be seen that an increase in the price of the T-shirt causes a corresponding decrease in the quantity demanded. For example; a price of $5 causes a demand of 50 shirts while a price of $15 causes a demand of 10. From the chart, we can say that increasing the price from $5 to $15 caused a reduction in demand from 50 to 10. This generally means that an increase in price of the shirts make most of customers feel that they cannot afford it or that it has been overpriced, therefor they would rather not buy. This is what makes the demand for the T-shirts to go down with increasing T-shirt prices.

Answer:

Break-even point (dollars)= $660,000

Explanation:

Giving the following information:

The company's contribution margin ratio is 50%

The break-even point is $600,000 in sales revenue.

Fixed expenses increase by $30,000.

To calculate the new break-even point in sales, we need to determine the break-even point for the increase in fixed costs:

Proportional break-even point (dollars)= increase in fixed costs/ contribution margin ratio

Proportional break-even point (dollars)= 30,000/0.5

Proportional break-even point (dollars)= $60,000

New break-even point:

Break-even point (dollars)= 600,000 + 60,000

Break-even point (dollars)= $660,000

In situations of sticky prices and negative demand shocks, we would expect firms to A. deplete inventories before increasing pro
valina [46]

Answer:

C. Build up inventories before reducing production.

Explanation:

Demand shocks happen when there is a sudden and considerable shift in the patterns of private spending, either in the form of consumer spending from consumers or investment spending from businesses. An economic downturn in the economy of a major export market can create a negative shock to business investment, particularly in export industries. A crash in stock or home prices can cause a negative demand shock as households react to a loss of wealth by cutting back sharply on consumption spending. Supply shocks to consumer commodities with price inelastic demand, such as food and energy, can also lead to a demand shock by reducing consumers real incomes. Economists sometimes refer to demand side shocks as "non-technological shocks." We need to build up inventories before reducing production.
