Tju [1.3M]

Answer:

develop our economy

The railroad served many purposes and helped many people greatly. One of the government's reasons was that they wanted more people to move into America because that would help develop our economy. They knew that it was going to cost much less because they had Chinese immigrants working for very low wages. Not only was this railroad convenient.

Washington's different landscapes provided different living conditions, forcing the people to live in a particular manner, thus developing different cultures in different parts of it.

Explanation:

Washington is a state that has varying landscape and climate. West of the Cascades it has mild climate, with lots of precipitation throughout the year, and abundance of water resources. On the other side, east of the Cascades, the climate is drier, with much bigger continental influence, having hot summers and very cold winters. Part of it is plains while part hills and small mountains.

This has had a big influence on the culture and traditions of the Native Americans in this area. The ones that lived west of the Cascades had sedentary lifestyle. They engaged in agriculture, but also used the rivers and ocean for resources, mainly food. The ones that lived east of the Cascades were nomads. The conditions were not the best for agriculture, so they were often on the move. The lifestyle was hunter-gatherer one, and it depended a lot on nature itself.
