Answer:

x = -2

Step-by-step explanation:

Picture attached, shows a weighing scale in the balanced form,

So weight of elements on the left = Weight of the elements on the right

Left side of the scale = weight of x + weight of 1

                                   = x(2) + 1(6)

                                   = 2x + 6

On the right side of the scale = Weight of (-x) + weight of (-1)

                                                 = (-x)(2) + (-1)(2)

                                                 = -2x - 2

Since, both the sides are balanced,

Therefore, equation which models the situation is,

(2x + 6) = -(2x + 2)

(2x + 6) + (2x + 2) = 0

4x + 8 = 0

4x = -8

x = -2

Answer:

Option C

Step-by-step explanation:

3\frac{1}{5} \times 2\frac{1}{5}

Lets convert it into improper fraction.

\frac{16}{5} \times \frac{11}{5} = \frac{16 \times 11}{5 \times 5} = \frac{176}{25}

Lets convert \frac{176}{25} into a mixed fraction.

=> \frac{176}{25} = 7\frac{1}{25} = 7.04

Rounding off 7.04 gives 7 and rounding 7 further gives 10.

So , the estimate of the product is 10

Total profit P is defined as total revenue R -= total cost C, and is given by the function Upper P left parenthesis x right par
Goshia [24]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

P(x) = R(x) - C(x)

Where,

P(x) = Total profit

R(x) = Total revenue

C(x) = Total cost

R(x)equals150.97 x minus 0.3 x squared

R(x) = 150.97x - 0.3x^2

Upper C left parenthesis x right parenthesis equals 4529.10 plus 0.5 x squared.

C(x) = 4529.10 + 0.5x^2

P(x) = R(x) - C(x)

= (150.97x - 0.3x^2) - ( 4529.10 + 0.5x^2)

= 150.97x - 0.3x^2 - 4529.10 - 0.5x^2

= 150.97x - 0.8x^2 - 4529.10

P(x) = -0.8x^2 + 150.97x - 4529.10
