<span>The seeming submissiveness of the chorus advanced the tragedy of Antigone by emphasizing how alone Antigone is in her world. Everybody is submissive to the rule of the King and only Antigone is the one standing up and questioning the Kings' commands especially when it concerns the dead body of her brother.
