I'm learning about all of that right now and nowhere did it say anything about German and Scandinavian immigrants. I'm sure there were some, but not enough to have to learn everything about it. The Irish "Potato Famine" happened during mid 1800s, so it could be possible that that's the answer, but it makes more sense that it would be the English because they've been immigrating to America since the 1400s
