Write an equation for the line parallel to the given line that contains C. C(-3,6); y=8/9x-2

3 0

Step-by-step explanation:

y = 8x/9 - 2

therefore m = 8/9

x1 = -3

y1 = 6

from, y - y1 = m(x-x1)

y - 6 = 8/9(x+3)

y-6 = 8x/9 + 8/3

y - 8x/9 -26/3 = 0 (×9)

9y - 8x -78 = 0

Any one know how to find the roots of an equation?
soldier1979 [14.2K]
So what you do is
make into ax^2+bx+c=0 form

add-9/2 to both sides
y^2-2y+9/2=0
now we use the quadratice formula which is
x=\frac{-b+/- \sqrt{b^{2}-4ac} }{2a}

ax^2+bx+c=0
1y^2-2y+9/2
a=1
b=-2
c=9/2
subsitute
x=\frac{-(-2)+/- \sqrt{(-2)^{2}-4(1)(9/2)} }{2(1)}
x=\frac{2+/- \sqrt{4-(36/2)} }{2}
x=\frac{2+/- \sqrt{4-(18)} }{2}
x=\frac{2+/- \sqrt{-14} }{2}
x=\frac{2+/- \sqrt{-14} }{2}
x=1+/- \frac{\sqrt{-14} }{2}
x=1+/- \frac{\sqrt{14} \sqrt{-1}}{2}
x=1+/- \frac{\sqrt{14} i }{2}
x=1+/- \frac{ i \sqrt{14} }{2}

answer is C

How many sides is a decagon? I forgot LOL
umka21 [38]

Answer:

10 sides.

Step-by-step explanation:

In geometry, a decagon is a ten-sided polygon or 10-gon. The total sum of the interior angles of a simple decagon is 1440°. A self-intersecting regular decagon is known as a decagram.

Convert 123 cm to dam
kondaur [170]
123 centimeters into dekameters
0.123
10 centimeters = 1 decimeter
100 decimeters = 1 dekameter
Therefore, 100 centimeters = 10 decimeters = 0.1
23 centimeters = 2.3 decimeters = 0.023
0.1 + 0.023 = 0.123 dam
