It’s B, y = 5.30x

You’re trying to find the cost per pound of cherries. Take the total cost you know, like $15.90, and divide that by the 3 pounds. You get 5.30. Same with $26.50 divided by 5 = 5.30

What is the solution of the system? y=x^2 + 6x + 9
Katyanochek1 [597]

Because we have two values of x, we can set the two expressions equal to each-other.

x^2 + 6x + 9 = x + 3

Subtract x and 3 from both sides.

x^2 + 5x + 6 = 0

Now that we have all terms on one side, we can find the values of x.

Using the AC method, we can simplify this equation to (x + 2)(x + 3)

The solutions to the system of equations presented are:

x = -2, x = -3.
