Miranda has been offered two jobs. The pay at job A would be $750 per month plus 15% of the value of the merchandise she sells.

Job B offers $675 per month plus 20% of the value of the merchandise she sells. What value of merchandise must she sell in order to make more money at job B than job A? Which of the following best represents this situation?
A. 750 + 0.15x = 675 + 0.20x

B. 750 + 0.20x = 675 + 0.15x

C. 750 + 0.15x > 675 + 0.20x

D. 750 + 0.15x < 675 + 0.20x

Answer:

x - would be the total value of merchandise sold

y - would be her take home pay would be

Job A: y = 0.15x + 750

Job B: y = 0.20x + 675

We want to know when job B's pay will be larger than job A's pay. So set the expression for job B larger than job A, solve for x

0.20x + 675 > 0.15x + 750

0.20x - 0.15x > 750 - 675

0.05x > 75

x > 75/0.05

x > 1500

The following division is being performed using multiplication by the reciprocal. Find the missing numbers.
konstantin123 [22]
To find the missing values you need to understand that the reciprocal is the fraction that is created when you invert (flip) The fraction.

Using this we actually have the missing values in the other fraction.

Please see the attached picture for the 3 missing values. They are in the boxes.

<1 and <2 form a linear pair. The measure of <1 = (2x+8) and the measure of <2 = (8x + 22). What is the measure of &
attashe74 [19]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation: Since the given problem states that the two angles, angle 1 and angle 2 form a linear pair, this means that they form a 180° line, so that:

measure angle 1 + measure angle 2 = 180°

Since measure of angle 2 is six more than twice the measure of angle 1, therefore:

measure angle 2 = 2 (measure angle 1) + 6

hence, substituting this into the first equation:

measure angle 1 + 2 (measure angle 1) + 6 = 180

3 (measure angle 1) = 174

measure angle 1 = 58°

Therefore,

measure angle 2 = 2 (measure angle 1) + 6

measure angle 2 = 2 (58°) + 6

measure angle 2 = 122*
