Wilson's farm is in the mountains of Arizona. Byron's farm is in the flat plains of Kansas. Which of the following
never [62]

Wilson's farm would be more likely to have coarse soil than Byron's farm.

Explanation:

The mountain of Arizona and the flat plains of Kansas offer very different conditions when it comes to farming. Both places have their challenges, but Arizona's mountains are much more problematic when it comes to farming. Some of the reasons for this are the:

  • arid and semi-arid climate
  • lower quality of the soil
  • sloping terrain
  • large scale erosion

As mentioned, the soil is not of very high quality, and the chances are that its texture will be coarse one. This would make a problem for Wilson, as this type of soil apart from not being very fertile, is also much harder to work on. The other factors contribute to large scale erosion, which makes it very hard to create a fertile top layer, as it will constantly be stripped off by the natural factors.

Choose a technology advancement in agriculture, such as the use of modern fertilizer, pesticides, or refrigeration. How has this
Blababa [14]

I would take the advancement of the refrigeration as a crucial part in the increasing of the production.

The refrigeration has been extremely important in the agriculture and the amount of production in it, because with it the agricultural products can be kept fresh for much longer periods. Because the products can be kept fresh for much longer time, that means that they can be delivered to pretty much every part of the world and not be spoiled. So the refrigeration opened up the doors for the farmers in the sense that instead producing only for the region or the country they live in, they can now produce much more for exporting, as the products will not spoil and remain fresh. That has also brought in much bigger profit for the farmers, and the production is constantly increasing because the whole market in the world is open with this technological advancement.
