Hello there,

Warm Front= Resembled with a line and red semicircles on one side of the line. Means that the warmer air mass is replacing the less warmer air mass.

Cold Front
= Resembled with a line and blue triangles on one side of the line. Means that the colder air mass is replacing the less colder air mass.

Occluded Front
= Resembled with a line and purple shapes going in the pattern triangle to semicircle on one side of the line. Means that to colder air masses push the less colder air mass upwards.

Stationary Front= Resmbled with a line with blue triangles on one side and red semicircles on the opposite side. Means that a warmer air mass and a colder air mass meet at a standstill.

Hope this helps!! {Not plagaraized, I just learned this last month :) }

Why is the menstrual cycle an important adaptation for reproduction in humans?
raketka [301]
The menstrual cycle is practically controlled by a system of hormones that is necessary for reproduction, and when the hormone reaches a heightened level, something called estradiol is made, then the stimulation of the ovaries by a luteinizing hormone.

Once that hormone begins developing, the ovaries make an egg that quickly becomes an ovum. The ovary then releases one egg or two during ovulation. The endometrium (the part that sheds its own cells for the menstruation) peaks after ovulation and changes the lining of the uterus to prepare for the hectic process of pregnancy and child labor.

Hope that was helpful.

Consider the data on cliff swallow mortality. Why is this an example of directional selection?Overall genetic variation decrease
Gala2k [10]

Answer:

The average trait value changed in one direction.(In this case, larger size)

Explanation:

In evolution a natural selection can be disruptive, directional or stabilizing

In stabilizing no extreme trait is favored hence provides intermediate values .

Disruptive selection both extreme traits are favored over the intermediate trait.

Directional, the enviroment will favor the survival of one trait hence a change in direction either towards the left or the right.

In the case of swallow cliff mortality, selection favored the larger size.

student designed an experiment testing the effect of light distance on the rate of photosynthesis. she placed samples of elodea
Leno4ka [110]

The amount of oxygen produced can be quantified in order to determine the rate of photosynthesis. Elodea leaves are divided into little pieces, and the cut ends are put into the funnel's stem.

What did Elodea's bubbles in this experiment represent?

The bubbles that you observe rising from an elodea cutting's leaves are actually a result of the photosynthesis process. In some types of algae and in plants, photosynthesis takes place. In the process, light energy is changed into a sort of chemical energy that is then stored as sugar.

What substance did we use to examine whether photosynthesis existed in Elodea?

To test whether photosynthesis and/or other processes are occurring, you will conduct experiments using the dye Phenol Red in this exercise. In Elodea plants, cellular respiration is taking place. The experiments look into how light affects these processes.
