11) name four forces or effects that can influence the wind
AnnyKZ [126]

Answer: Tempeture, air pressure, centripetal acceleration and Earth rotation.

Temperature: Warm air and cold air have different density. As warm air is less dense than cold air, it rides up and over the cold air causing winds.

Air Pressure: At the Earth's surface, wind blows horizontally from high pressure to low pressure areas. Wind is faster in bigger pressure differences.

Centripetal Acceleration: air speed is influenced by centripital acceleration this way, the direction of wind in the center of the circulation is also influenced. Cyclones, for example, are a association of centripital acceleration and air pressure differences.

Earth's Rotation: Wind direction chance can be caused by the rotation of Earth on its axis. The Coriolis effect, easterlies are examples of the influence of the earth’s rotation on Wind.

What might you look for in another place on Earth to know if its surface pieces are moving towards each other?
Gennadij [26K]

Answer:

Explanation:

Because some continents are above two plates, the continents move when the plates do. The movement of tectonic plates can cause earthquakes and volcanoes. Which items are described by the geographic theme of human-environmental interaction? A.The Pyrenees Mountains form the border b
iogann1982 [59]

Answer:

B. The Channel Tunnel connecting the United Kingdom and France reduced travel time between these nations

E. Land has been cleared to make room for France's famous vineyards

F. A highway through Mount Blanc connects Italy and France

Explanation:

One of the five themes of geography is the human-environmental interaction. The human-environmental interaction basically means that the humans and the environment interact with each other and affect each other, sometimes in positive manner, sometimes in negative manner. There are many examples for this geographic theme across the globe.

The Channel Tunnel between the UK and France is an underwater tunnel. Its purpose is to make the traveling easier and faster between the two nations. It has been built in the sea waters, and fortunately it is not having any negative impacts on the environment.

France is one of the biggest producers of vine in the world. In order to have the amount of grapes needed for France to produce lot of vine it needs lot of agricultural land. This has been accomplished by clearing the land from the wild vegetation over time. While this has had a very positive impact on the economy of France, it has had very negative effect on the wildlife as it has totally ruined the habitat for lot of species.

Italy and France are separated by a massive mountain range, the Alps. The Alps are very large and very high, but nonetheless the humans managed to find ways to build highways through them despite all the difficulties. The highways are state of art through the Alps, and they are very useful for the countries in the region as these highways connect them, and not making them isolted. It has not been so great for the environment though, as lot of changes have been done to the mountain range, and every day there's thousands of animals that die on the highways.

What natural process did the massive amount of material in the atmosphere halt or stop?
zysi [14]

Based on the meteorological analysis, the natural process in which the massive amount of material in the atmosphere halt or stops is known as the "GreenHouse Effect."

This is because GreenHouse Effect is a natural process that occurs in the earth's atmosphere.

The GreenHouse Effect occurs when Sun’s radiation comes in contact with the Earth’s atmosphere.

During the contact, some of the massive solar radiation is stopped or halted and returned to space.

The rest of this massive solar radiation, however, is taken and re-radiated by the greenhouse gases.

Greenhouse gases include water vapor, carbon dioxide, methane, ozone, etc.

Hence, in this case, it is considered that GreenHouse Effect is a significant occurrence or process in the Earth's existence.
