The correct answers to these open questions are the following.

First, as there is no context or references at all, it is important to say that we are talking about the assassination of archduke Franz Ferdinand and his give, which was one of the causes for the beginning of World War I.

How did Nicholas and Wilhelm describe the conflict between their countries differently?

They described the conflict differently because they had different political and economic interests in the region. Tsar Nicholas of Russia and Kaiser Wilhelm of Germany were cousins. However, Germany was allied with the Austro-Hungarian Empire, and Russia had committed to support Serbia.

How did each attempt to persuade the other?

As cousins they were, they deemed that diplomacy could be a way to dissuade both nations from a war that was going to be very destructive in  Europe. So they first decided the diplomatic way and exchange messages through telegrams. Te communication started on July 29, 1914.

How did the tone of their communications change over time? Why might that be the case?

The tone started to change with the pass of time because none of them wanted to give in. And through the course of the telegram exchange, both armies had been mobilizing their troops to begin the armed confrontation. As I mentioned above, there were many political, economic, and even ethnic interests at hand.

Why did the pilgrims start with two ships and come back with one
alisha [4.7K]

Answer:

That's what the Pilgrims did in the year 1620, on a ship called Mayflower. Mayflower set sail from England in July 1620, but it had to turn back twice because Speedwell, the ship it was traveling with, leaked.  Many ships in the 1600s were damaged or shipwrecked by storms.
