At first Enkidu and Gilgamesh are hesitant to go into the forest to kill Humbaba. However, eventually, Gilgamesh decides that he is strong enough to take on the beast. He does so and wins. Gilgamesh is proud of his victory and this show of strength. In the illustration, he demonstrates this by holding Humbaba's head.
The killing of Humbaba angers the Gods and Enkidu's life is taken as a result. This is the catalyst for Gilgamesh's great journey to find immortality as he comes to the realization the death is a possibility.</span>

The message of the story is that women should be listened to when they expressed their needs and concerns. This is especially important when it comes to their health.

The author tells us that he is poor and unimpressive, while the woman is much better than him. However, throughout the poem, he highlights the fact that he wants to be loved and seen by the woman, even if he is not very impressive. The last image he offers in the text is that of a daffodil and wheat. He compares himself to wheat, which is resistant, even if not impressive. On the other hand, while the daffodil is more beautiful, it is weak and often goes unnoticed, ending up destroyed in the mud when the rain comes. The author highlights the fact that his qualities might be less obvious, but they exist, and this should motivate the woman in question to give him a chance.

I expected it to end with none of the humans turning out to be ailen after all. I thought that maybe there was aliens, but they were messing with the people of the town to make them push the blame on eachother.
