Capital punishment is a very controversial issue around the world. Many countries that once supported the death penalty now find

it to be cruel and unusual punishment. What are your thoughts? Do you support the use of the death penalty as a fair punishment for criminals that commit terrible crimes or is it too cruel? Using five sentences or more, give your opinion and defend your answer by using facts or examples.

Answer:

I do not support the use of the death penalty. If we punish someone who, for example, committed murder by killing them, how are we any better? Murder is murder, no matter what the circumstances are.

Besides that, there have been many cases when people got sentenced to death for crimes they didn't commit. Unlike other sentences, the death sentence can't be reversed. If they got sentenced to life in jail instead, they could've gotten released once the proof of their innocence was found. But with the death penalty that is not a possibility. Murder of an innocent person in such circumstances is no better than the murder someone gets sentenced to death for. And in those cases, no one gets punished for the mistake that cost someone else their life.

Answer:

I know this seems harsh but this is my opinion

Explanation:

I support the death penalty only in specific cases. I support the death penalty in some cases, because a serial killer can kill 10 people and go to jail for 5 years and then sometimes will be just let back out onto the streets. I think the only time the death penalty should be used is, if a defendant has been found guilty of killing 3 or more people. One way of making sure the defendant did indeed kill 3 or more people, any cases where the defendant has killed 3 or more people would be sent straight to the supreme court.

Juan easily taught his cat to jump through a hoop for the reward of food, but could not get his cat to fetch a ball and return t
Aliun [14]

Answer:

Instinctive drift

Explanation:

Instinctive drift is a phenomenon that occurs when an animal reverts back to instinctual behaviour, instead of continuing engaing in learned, or trained behaviour.

In this case, the cat's trained behaviour is being hampered by instinctive drift because while it can easily follow Juan's instructions when jumping a food (aided by the great incentive of getting food), it cannot help chasing the ball more than once, because rolling a ball to catch it is a highly instinctual behaviour that the cat practically cannot control.

What was schurz and his fellow students response to word of the french revolt?
TEA [102]

When a friend of Shurz told him in 1848 that “the French have deposed Louis Philippe and proclaimed the republic.”, he said to his fellow students that it had arrived the day in Germany for the creation of <em>“German Unity,”</em> and the founding of a great, powerful national German Empire that offered its people liberty, the right of free assembly, equality before the law, among other liberties to form a constitutional government base on democracy.

<em>Carl Schurz. Schurz (1829-1906)</em> wrote his memories about the revolution of France in a paper kwon as “<em>Reminiscences of Carl Schurz"</em>.

After the failure of the German revolution, he traveled to the U.S. and became a Senator.
