1- If during a week the student exercised for 3 hours at school, and for 1/4 hour at home, it could be said that the student exercised for a total of 195 minutes (60 x 3 + 60/4) . Now, if I exercise 1/4 of that time playing basketball, the student spent 48 minutes and 45 seconds playing that sport (195/4).

2- If during a week the student exercised for 2 hours at school, and for 1/4 hour at home, it could be said that the student exercised for a total of 135 minutes (60 x 2 + 60/4) . Now, if I exercise 1/4 of that time playing basketball, the student spent 33 minutes and 45 seconds playing soccer (135/4).
